Gratitude, well-being and giving thanks to my clients during the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Thanksgiving seems like the perfect time to say thank you to all of my clients who have supported my business over the last 10 years.   Most of my clients have heard me talk about “The Secret”, and how important I believe it is to live your life thinking positively, feeling grateful and putting out to the universe what you would like to happen in your life.  I found this bit of information online and hope you all take a moment to read it as you will see how being grateful can make you look and feel amazing!

A large body of recent work has suggested that people who are more grateful have higher levels of well-being. Grateful people are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives and social relationships.  Grateful people also have higher levels of control of their environments, personal growth, purpose in life, and self-acceptance. Grateful people have more positive ways of coping with the difficulties they experience in life, being more likely to seek support from other people, reinterpreted and grow from the experience, and spend more time planning how to deal with the problem. Grateful people also have less negative coping strategies, being less likely to try to avoid the problem, deny there is a problem, blame themselves, or cope through substance use. Grateful people sleep better, and this seems to be because they think less negative and more positive thoughts just before going to sleep.  Gratitude had been said to have one of the strongest links with mental health of any character trait.  Numerous studies suggest that grateful people are more likely to have higher levels of happiness and lower levels of stress and depression.”

Have you thought about what your skin will look like in 10-20 Years?

So even if you eat tons of anti-oxidant rich foods and drink lots of water, these are still not enough to promote supple and youthful looking skin. 3.  Avoid Stress!

Emotional upheavals can make your skin look 5 years older than your chronological age, says New York City dermatologist and psychiatrist Amy Wechsler, MD, author of The Mind-Beauty Connection. Constant anxiety increases the stress hormone cortisol, which causes inflammation that breaks down collagen. It also triggers a chain of responses that can lead to facial redness and acne flare-ups.   I have been taking a supplement called Holy Basil that has really helped to regulate my stress levels.
